This is a project from 2003. It deals with time, efficiency, economy and compression as an idea of speeding up and expanding our learning process and experiences. In a time when efficiency and short term profit reigns, anything that can help you save time is looked upon as a sure tool for success. Borrowing the straight forward albeit not always useful “X for Dummies” concept we experience all albums by Prince between the years 1978-2002 in under 30 seconds. If one doesn’t have time for that there is always the option of jumping straight to track 31 which has them all squeezed into 1 second. Attached is also a short bio with predetermined fast forwards. • The albums has been folded and cut multiple times.
• Each song squeezed into a 1 sec period.
• Each song was then stacked on top of each other in a vertical tower.
